Can someone techie / engineering / physics explain to me why this video is flawed.

I want evidence against their calculations please not just "they're flamin' loonies."

to quote father ted

" these cows are small, those cows are far away"

i'm aghast that in this day and age anyone can believe this bullshit.

I'd never.even heard of this till about 18 months ago when my wife told me about 2 parents at her school that believed it. I just assumed. they were fucking retarded. then I found out that it's a whole thing.

just means there are more fucking retards than I thought.

Thanks Dave but the 'one' pic always used from Apollo 17 by NASA doesn't address the maths in the vid: You'd think the web would be flooded with up to date pics of the earth but no.

You know like, the horizon? You know like, when you're on a boat and stuff you're going towards rises up from out of sight, so much so that with, say, the Blackpool Tower, you see the top bit first and then the bottom?

How does that work with a flat earth?

Watched about 10 minutes (got bored).

Maybe the position of the Moon was affecting the water hight/bulge - although water does tend to find it's own level, the tidal influence of the Moon means that calculations need to be done on dynamic elliptical, not spherical geometry.

Not claiming that is the reason here, but the tides are a fairly important and seemingly overlooked factor.

Bits of the Earth's surface are flatter than other bits.

This doesn't prove the Earth is flat, any more than the flatness of my forehead disproves my nose.

If the earth were a sphere we must be at the top because everything falls vertically down. So if we are at the top therefore New Zealand must be at the bottom and everything should fall upwards.

So the earth must be flat after all.

That's not what the image linked to. You can also see lots of images in shallow orbit which show the curvature.

What about Eclipses , or is the earth biscuit on its side ?

That one pic is taken from the deep space observatory. There are many others... Taken by satellites that orbit our flat earth.

Look in the sky mate what shape are all the celestial objects?

And above all else and the same goes for any of these whack job theories why bother with such an elaborate lie. This one is astoundingly thick as it doesn't even come with any discernible gain for anyone.

Jesus man you can't be that thick.

Aristotle worked it out thousands of years ago by looking at the curvature of the earth's shadow on the moon. Eratosthenes (I think) did the experiment of measuring shadows of the same sized staff at summer solsticein two different cities. This isn't rocket science and flat earthers are either cranks or trolls and are best ignored.

A quick web search reveals that the Flat Earth conspiracy loons are hated by some of the other conspiracy loons.

Apparently, they are a secret Psyop aimed at discrediting all other "truthers" by making them look ridiculous.

As if they needed any help...

Seriously how could anyone in this day and age believe that the world is flat! Oh the bible thinks it is...

Not to be sniffed at the earthers - the very laws of physics have conspired against them.
